Forest City Enterprises, renowned creator of Stapleton in Colorado, is turned on its sustainability efforts. October and the master developer broke ground on Mesa del Sol, a 12,900 acre community in Albuquerque, NM's southeast mesa.
As with the previous communities, Forest City hopes to lure settlers to the streets pedestrian friendly, neotraditional architecture, and energy-efficient homes, plus one more thing: friendly work environment. With 310 sunny days per year on average, this desert oasis is the ideal solar technology incubator.
