Emerging New Technologies in the World of Kitchen Faucets

In a world that is always changing, we need to be more aware of our use of natural resources. Water conservation is no exception. Over the years we have rules and limitations to help conserve water as much as possible for use in our cities across the U.S. You may have a curfew in your town when you are allowed to water your lawn. Most cities use a general rule such as "Odd number houses can water on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Even house numbers may water on Monday and Wednesday." Companies in faucet manufacturing business has started to improve their products with new technologies and techniques when designing their new line of faucets.

Water conservation will become increasingly important in the near future. EPA has stated "At least 36 states are anticipating local, regional or water shortages throughout the state in 2013, even under non-drought conditions." That is why many companies such as Delta Faucet faucet has started what they call their Green Campaign. They work to reduce the amount of water we use to build smarter water delivery system that consistently release gallons per minute of water. Many facuets they use 20% less water and still perform as well as other faucet companies.

Another technology being advertised by Delta 2o Touch Technology them. This technology is being used in their new kitchen faucet to allow easy on / off switching while working in the kitchen. The water will stop flowing just by touching your skin to the metal surface of the faucet. This technology can also contribute in efforts to conserve water in the sense that people are more likely to turn their kitchen faucet if it can be done simply by touching their wrists as possible.

While Delta is clear pack leader in innovation from the industry tap other companies tap technology to build better. Moen ioDigital has come up with a technology to create customized experiences for a bath or shower. Once you have the desired temperature settings and water flow rate, simply press a preset button to save the settings as easily set a radio station on your stereo system.

So, while many manufacturing companies in the faucet industry tries to do their part to help with water conservation, people around the world should try and do their part too. Next time you brush your teeth, try to turn off the water while you brush your teeth. Try putting a brick in the bottom of your toliets water to reduce the amount of water you use each time you flush.
